Fashion/Influencers to Look out for on the ‘Gram

Updated: Nov 16, 2021

The hottest list of the season!

With everything of any sort of significance becoming digital, we turn our attention towards the internet for our daily updates and knowledge on any topic. Influencers have become a major talk on social media and their relevance is insurmountable.

Being an influencer has become a legitimate career option over the past few years. They earn extremely well and it all depends on their reach, i.e. the number of followers they have, the ‘influence’ part of their jobs.

It can be posts which they are paid for, collaborations, reels and more. Many startups and even larger brands such as Dior are branching out to a fresh consumer set and target influencers to assist them with marketing.

Influencers play a huge role in how we perceive the latest trends, ranging from fashion to lifestyle and travel to home décor. So here's a list of some of them who are at the top of their game currently and who may interest you to take a glance at their pages.

Danielle Bernstein

We start with one of my favourite insta fashion bloggers, fashion designer and creator of WeWoreWhat. Danielle started her career as a photographer for street style which transitioned into a full-fledged blog on Instagram which gained huge popularity and is currently one of the most well-known blogs standing at two million followers of which some famous ones include Virgil Abloh, Emily Ratajkowski and many fashion labels.

Negin Mirsalehi

Negin Mirsalehi

A Dutch influencer from Amsterdam, she’s a full-time beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger who caught the world’s attention around 2012 and has an impressive fanbase of six million followers. She’s collaborated with many top brands such as Prada, Valentino, Dior and more.

Fun fact: she’s also a beekeeper!

Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung

Another favourite of mine, Alexa’s overall vibe is fun, relatable and so unabashedly English. There’s nothing she hasn’t done in the glamour industry and she’s rubbed shoulders with all the biggest names in the business. A model, fashion journalist, television presenter and more, her page is not one to miss.

Check out her short series on British Vogue on YouTube.

Komal Pandey

A relatively newer Indian fashion and beauty influencer from Mumbai, she initially worked at POPxo and has her own YouTube channel which is a mix of gen Z relatable comedy, fashion, beauty and lifestyle advice. Her boyfriend and also well-known male fashion influencer Siddharth Batra makes many appearances in her posts as well as reels which have gained a following of 1 million.

If you want updates and fashion tips on the latest ethnic wear, look no further than this New Delhi based influencer. Her unique catchy reels as well as down to earth posts give a truly realistic desi vibe to the viewers which has been able to attract 1.4 million followers.

Sandeep Rai

Sandeep Rai

A lawyer by degree and someone I can proudly call a four-year senior from my school in New Delhi, Sandeep started his page BasicallyMenz back in 2018. He's all about authenticity, and his posts reflect that. A good balance of ethnic wear as well as formal classic suits and occasional flexing those fit abs and a bit of luxury. His page is the perfect amalgamation of everything a typical Indian man is about. A lot would agree with me, particularly sixty-nine thousand people!

Ankush Bahuguna

Ankush Bahuguna

Originally a comedian and content creator, his main Instagram page consists of comical reels based on everyday life and its struggles, but click onto his beauty and style account Wing it with Ankush and you’ll find fresh makeup and fashion looks for every occasion including innovative reels and captions with 146 thousand followers.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg of the unlimited talent and creative inspo that’s available online. There’s an infinite amount to explore and discover as well as inspire others to do the same.
